Bubble tubing is flexible aeration tubing for aerating ponds, water-gardens, long narrow waterways, golf course water hazards and ideal for waste-water treatment basins and long ditches or wherever a bottom mounted diffusion assembly is not desired or appropriate. This self-sinking tubing has two rows of tiny holes 1/4 inch apart along the entire length of the tubing and when air from the compressor fills the tubing the holes open and release tiny air bubbles into the water. As these bubbles rise together they create a moving water column with a vacuum effect that pulls water from lower depths towards the surface. The bubble tubing provides it's most efficient performance between 3 and 25 feet making it suitable for all manner of aquatic oxygenation applications. Unlike the old-fashioned tubing which had a lead keel ballast and holes for bubbles only every 12 to 18 inches this tubing contains no harmfull metals to weigh it down and has holes on both sides of the tubing every 1/4 inch along the entire tube length. The huge increase in the number of bubble producing holes make this tubing an exceptional aerating product. The Bubble tubing uses the density and safety of silica sand as a ballast instead of metals or wires. The flexibilty in the silica sand means the tubing can be shaped along any pond bottom terrain, longer shoreline, bend or gradient without wanting to return to it's coiled shape or kinking as older tubing usually did. Bubble tubing has an average life expectancy of 25 years. It resists fungal growth, ozone and UV rays from the sun. The rugged EPDM rubber composite construction makes it ideal for waste-water treatment lagoons and aquacultre systems where higher concentrates of noxious elements exist. One of the main benefits of this unique bottom mounted micro-bubble releasing tubing is in the mixing of the pond water which eliminates stagnant layers of stratification and allows fish and beneficial creatures to inhabit the entire water-column. The mixing process achieved by the aeration tubing eliminates the problem of stagnant water and the flexible nature of the tubing allows it to be shaped to accomodate many situations from water gardens to ditchwater basins or inlets and fjords in ponds and lakes where shallow depth will not allow a standard bottom mounted diffuser to be used. Because bubble tubing is mainly used in shallow areas it is ideally suited for smaller, silent-running compressors. Our PPM line of linear compressors are small and extremely low-noise for placement in our near your home. Bubble tubing
is sold in 100 foot rolls or smaller sections of 25, 50 or 75 feet.
